The Loft Campus of Applied Science
Course Completion, Credential Verification, Safety & Participation Policy
This policy explains course completion, certificate verification, participation, managed accounts, and protective actions for The Loft Campus of Applied Science (the “Campus”). It applies to online courses, partner-site participation, Campus accounts, completion records, and related educational resources.
1. Scope & Acceptance
This policy applies to people who enroll in, purchase, access, or participate in Campus courses and related services, referred to as “participants.” Services may be accessed independently or through a participating employer, community organization, housing program, healthcare organization, church, or other partner location.
By enrolling or using the applicable services after this policy is presented to you, you agree to follow it. Course requirements, Terms of Use, the Privacy Notice, published payment and refund terms, and applicable technology-use requirements also apply. Relevant requirements will be made available before enrollment or the applicable service begins.
Partner locations may establish lawful rules for their own facilities and programs. Those rules do not remove rights or responsibilities established by applicable law.
2. Nature of Campus Courses
Campus courses are independent, non-credit educational, enrichment, personal-development, or professional-development offerings. They are not represented as accredited college or university coursework. The Campus does not award college credit, academic degrees, college diplomas, professional licenses, or regulated professional certifications through these courses.
Course completion does not guarantee employment, promotion, income, admission, transfer credit, licensure, housing placement, or acceptance by another organization. Each employer, institution, licensing body, or other organization determines how it recognizes the coursework.
The description “non-credit” explains the educational offering; it does not, by itself, establish an exemption from Tennessee education-authorization requirements. See Section 17 for official Tennessee regulatory resources.
3. Completion Requirements
Each course identifies its schedule, delivery format, required activities, participation expectations, assessment arrangements, and completion criteria. Required live sessions, in-person meetings, and proctoring arrangements will be disclosed before enrollment.
To earn a Certificate of Completion, a participant must complete the required coursework, satisfy the course’s participation requirements, and pass its proctored final assessment with a score of at least 70%. Any additional completion criteria must be stated for the course.
Remediation, retesting, and associated fees are governed by the published course and payment terms. Participants may contact the Campus to discuss access needs or reasonable accommodations.
4. Meaning of a Certificate of Completion
A Certificate of Completion documents that the identified person completed the identified Campus course under the requirements in effect for that enrollment. It represents that recorded educational achievement.
It does not, by itself, establish competency for a regulated occupation or replace a required license, professional examination, employer training, background check, supervision, or government approval.
Certificates may include the participant’s name, course title and code, completion date, issue date, unique certificate ID, and an available QR code or verification link.
5. Identity & Academic Integrity
Participants must provide accurate enrollment information and complete their own required work. Impersonation, fabricated attendance, falsified participation, cheating, tampering with assessment records, counterfeit certificates, and manipulation of verification systems are prohibited.
AI tools, collaboration, and other assistance must follow the course’s stated rules. Authorized learning support and approved accommodations are permitted; assistance that replaces required independent work or materially invalidates an assessment is prohibited.
The Campus may use reasonable, proportionate identity and participation checks before issuing accounts or certificates. Information collected and used for these checks will be handled under applicable law and the Campus Privacy Notice.
6. Certificate Verification & Historical Records
Verification confirms whether a certificate matches a retained Campus completion record and its recorded status. Requests may be submitted to campus@lofttn.com. Certificate IDs, QR codes, and online verification tools may also be used where available.
Subject to appropriate authorization and applicable law, verification may confirm the certificate holder, course title and code, completion and issue dates, certificate ID, and certificate status. Verification does not constitute an endorsement for employment, housing, professional practice, financial responsibility, or another position of trust.
Historical course completion and current Campus standing are separate. Account deactivation or loss of continuing benefits does not automatically invalidate a legitimately earned certificate or prevent a request to verify a retained completion record.
Disciplinary details, account activity, partner-site records, and current Campus standing are not included in public certificate verification. Any separate disclosure requires an appropriate lawful basis and applicable authorization.
7. Certificate Correction, Review & Invalidation
The Campus may correct inaccurate certificate information or withdraw a certificate that was improperly issued or not legitimately earned. A decision must have a documented basis, such as identity fraud, impersonation, cheating, fabricated participation, falsified assessment results, or a material administrative or technical error.
An altered or counterfeit copy may be rejected without deleting an authentic underlying completion record. Misuse of an authentic certificate may lead to conduct or account action, but does not by itself undo legitimately completed coursework. Unrelated later conduct is not a basis for erasing valid historical completion.
The Campus will ordinarily provide notice, a general explanation, and an opportunity to provide relevant information before a final adverse certificate decision. Temporary review or verification restrictions may be used when reasonably necessary to address active fraud, identity misuse, or a compromised verification system. A temporary review status is not a finding of wrongdoing.
8. Current Standing & Continuing Benefits
Continuing benefits may include professional Campus email, Microsoft 365, learning-platform access, managed-device access, and other resources actually offered by the Campus. Availability and duration are governed by the disclosed enrollment and access terms.
Access may depend on active enrollment, sponsorship, payment, participation, acceptable use, identity verification, and account security. The Campus may restrict or deactivate benefits for nonpayment, inactivity, misuse, security concerns, or material policy violations, subject to applicable law and the relevant access terms.
Restrictions on these benefits remain separate from the authenticity of an earned completion record.
9. Conduct, Safety & Protective Actions
Campus services, accounts, credentials, and partner access may not be used to facilitate:
- Violence, credible threats, harassment, stalking, or intimidation.
- Exploitation, abuse, coercion, trafficking, or predatory conduct.
- Fraud, identity misuse, phishing, malware, or unauthorized system access.
- Credential falsification or misrepresentation of a certificate as a degree, license, college credit, or government credential.
- False claims of authority to represent the Campus or a partner organization.
- Other unlawful conduct or material interference with the safety, integrity, or security of Campus services.
Protective actions must be proportionate to specific, documented concerns connected to Campus services or participation. Actions may include warnings, security resets, access restrictions, temporary suspension, preservation of relevant records, and lawful notifications to appropriate partner representatives, protective authorities, emergency services, or law enforcement.
The Campus will limit any related information sharing to what is reasonably necessary and lawfully permitted or required. Decisions will consider the relevant facts and any applicable reasonable accommodations.
10. Partner Locations & Responsibilities
Partner organizations remain responsible for their own operations and applicable duties, including staffing, supervision, housing decisions, clinical care, medication practices, facility safety, emergency response, and required reporting. The Campus remains responsible for its own services and legal obligations.
Providing coursework, a portal, an account, or a device at a location does not by itself mean that the Campus operates the facility or provides housing, patient care, custody, or residential supervision. Actual services, agreements, and applicable law determine the parties’ duties.
Limited enrollment, participation, completion, account, or safety information may be shared with an authorized partner only when supported by an appropriate lawful basis and any required consent. Sponsoring enrollment does not provide unrestricted access to a participant’s records. Integrations involving specially protected information require appropriate review and agreements before implementation.
11. Campus-Managed Email & Technology
Campus-provided email, Microsoft 365, portal, and device accounts are managed Campus resources. Access is not promised indefinitely. Management of an account does not by itself transfer ownership of a participant’s original content to the Campus.
Authorized administrators may administer, secure, restrict, preserve, or review account information when reasonably necessary to operate the service, address misuse or account compromise, investigate fraud, protect users, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request. Such access remains subject to applicable law and the Campus Privacy Notice.
Participants must protect account credentials and retain permitted copies of personal materials they need. Where reasonably practicable and consistent with safety and legal obligations, the Campus will provide notice and an opportunity to retrieve permitted materials before planned deactivation. Campus accounts should not be the sole storage location for irreplaceable personal information.
12. Educational Services & Emergencies
Course materials, educational discussions, and related learning resources provide general educational information. Participation alone does not establish a clinician-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, financial-adviser, or other licensed professional relationship. Actual services and applicable law determine any professional duties.
Educational content does not replace individualized medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other professional evaluation or advice. Participants should consult an appropriately qualified professional when their circumstances require one.
The Campus is not a 24-hour emergency monitoring, medical monitoring, residential supervision, or crisis-response service. Do not rely on email, coursework, attendance records, check-ins, or other Campus tools for emergency intervention. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.
13. Suspension, Review & Reinstatement
Immediate temporary restrictions may be imposed when reasonably necessary to address active fraud, account compromise, identity misuse, credible safety threats, or a material security risk. Advance notice may be delayed where it would undermine a necessary protective action or conflict with law.
For other adverse actions, the Campus will ordinarily provide a general explanation and a way to request review. When immediate action is taken, notice and a review opportunity will be provided as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to lawful restrictions.
Participants may request review at campus@lofttn.com and submit relevant information. Where practical, a person other than the original decision-maker will review the action. The Campus will communicate the outcome and any appropriate corrective steps.
Reinstatement may require steps reasonably related to the issue, such as identity verification, a security reset, correction of records, payment of a valid outstanding balance, or cessation of prohibited conduct. Reinstatement may be denied when a documented material risk remains.
14. Outcomes, Payments & Legal Rights
The Campus does not guarantee a particular educational, employment, financial, clinical, housing, legal, or personal outcome. Independent organizations remain responsible for their own decisions, including whether they recognize Campus coursework.
Payments, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the published terms and applicable law. Suspension or account deactivation does not automatically forfeit any refund to which a participant is legally or contractually entitled.
Nothing in this policy removes a nonwaivable legal right, excuses the Campus from its own legal obligations, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Policy Updates
Updates will be published with a revised version or update date and an identified effective date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required by law or an applicable agreement.
Updates do not retroactively erase legitimate completion records or remove rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be changed. The Campus will communicate material changes affecting an existing enrollment or service.
16. Questions, Records & Complaints
For completion records, certificate verification, account questions, accommodations, complaints, or review requests, contact:
Email: campus@lofttn.com
Phone: 865-358-7770
Provide enough information to identify the relevant course, account, or certificate without unnecessarily sending sensitive personal information. The Campus may request proportionate identity verification before releasing or changing a record.
You may also consult THEC’s official complaint-review information for the agency’s jurisdiction and procedures. THEC determines whether it can review a particular complaint. Campus review procedures do not remove rights to contact an appropriate agency or pursue other available remedies.
17. Tennessee Regulatory Information
The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), Division of Postsecondary State Authorization, administers Tennessee’s postsecondary authorization framework. Relevant authorities include the Tennessee Higher Education Authorization Act of 2016, Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-7-2001 et seq., and applicable rules. Exemption provisions are identified in Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-7-2004 and Rule 1540-01-02-.05.
Official Tennessee resources:
- THEC School Authorizations & Exemption Guidance — authorization pathways and exemption-determination guidance.
- THEC Legislation & Rules — official links to the governing statutes and rule chapters, including Chapter 1540-01-02.

An exemption depends on meeting the applicable statutory or rule requirements; describing instruction as non-credit does not establish one. These references are informational and do not establish or imply state approval, accreditation, endorsement, authorization, or an exemption determination for the Campus. Any stated regulatory status must be supported by the applicable facts and documentation.
