The Loft Campus of Applied Science

Terms of Use

Version: 1.1 | Effective: Upon publication | Last updated: October 19, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to loftcampus.com, Campus courses, learning materials, accounts, certificates, and related educational resources provided by The Loft Campus of Applied Science (“Campus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please review them before enrolling or using account-based services.

1. Agreement & Related Policies

By creating an account, enrolling, purchasing, or using applicable Campus services after these Terms are presented to you, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not enroll or use those services. A person acting for an organization must have authority to accept the applicable terms for that organization.

These Terms work alongside the Campus Privacy Policy; Course Completion, Credential Verification, Safety & Participation Policy; and any course-specific, technology-access, payment, or refund terms provided before enrollment or purchase. Specific terms govern their stated subject, subject to applicable law.

The Privacy Policy explains information handling. Acceptance of these Terms does not replace separate consent when a particular use of information requires it.

2. Nature of Campus Education

Campus courses are independent, non-credit educational, enrichment, personal-development, or professional-development offerings. They are not represented as accredited college or university coursework. The Campus does not award college credit, academic degrees, college diplomas, professional licenses, or regulated professional certifications through these courses.

A Certificate of Completion documents that a participant met the identified course requirements. It does not replace required occupational qualifications, professional examinations, employer training, supervision, or government approval. Each receiving organization decides how it recognizes the coursework.

Describing a course as non-credit does not by itself establish an exemption from education-authorization requirements. References to Tennessee agencies or rules do not imply state approval, endorsement, authorization, or an exemption determination. Official regulatory information is linked in Section 18.

3. Eligibility & Enrollment

Meet the age, prerequisite, and other eligibility requirements listed for your course. Campus online accounts are not available to children under 13. Participants ages 13–17 need parent or guardian permission and may enroll only where the Campus course permits their participation. Purchases must be made by a person with legal capacity or appropriate authority.

Provide accurate registration, contact, billing, and enrollment information and keep it current. The Campus may use proportionate identity checks when reasonably necessary to administer accounts, assessments, or completion records.

You do not need to live at The Loft or participate in a housing or ministry program to enroll unless a particular offering expressly limits eligibility.

4. Accounts & Continuing Resources

Keep passwords secure and promptly report suspected account compromise. Do not share account access, impersonate another person, or allow another person to complete required work for you. You are responsible for your own use and authorized activity; suspected unauthorized activity may be investigated.

Campus email, Microsoft 365, AI tools, research access, and managed devices are subject to the resources actually included in your enrollment and their disclosed access conditions. Access may depend on enrollment, sponsorship, payment, acceptable use, security, or continued eligibility.

Account and resource access is not promised indefinitely. Authorized administration, account review, retention, and deactivation follow the Privacy Policy and applicable access terms. Keep permitted copies of personal materials you need.

5. Course Delivery & Applied Learning

Review the course schedule, workload, deadlines, assessment arrangements, and participation requirements before enrolling. Courses follow their published schedule and are not necessarily fully self-paced.

Online lessons may be accompanied by applied-learning activities or practical hours you complete yourself, such as fitness activities, community-based assignments, projects, or other practical tasks. Some courses also require live sessions, in-person attendance, or supervised participation.

Required activities, hours, documentation, locations, equipment, and any additional costs will be explained before enrollment. Follow course instructions and lawful site rules, obtain required permissions, and contact the Campus about access needs or activities you cannot safely or lawfully complete. Reasonable accommodation requests will be reviewed in relation to course requirements.

6. Assessments, Integrity & Certificates

To earn a Certificate of Completion, finish the required work, meet participation requirements, and pass the proctored final assessment with at least 70%, together with any additional published course criteria.

AI assistance, collaboration, and other support must follow course rules. Cheating, impersonation, fabricated participation, falsified practical hours, unauthorized assistance, and alteration of assessment or certificate records are prohibited. Authorized support and approved accommodations remain permitted.

Participants who do not pass the final must re-enroll and pay the course fee again. The Campus provides targeted remediation and a retest within a two-week remediation period, as explained in the course instructions.

Certificates may be corrected or invalidated when issued in error or not legitimately earned, using the review process in the completion policy. Legitimate historical completion remains separate from current account standing. You may keep and share your authentic certificate for applications and verification.

7. Fees, Cancellations & Refunds

The applicable price, included resources, additional required costs, and purchase terms will be provided before payment. You authorize the charges you knowingly approve at checkout. Any recurring plan requires separately disclosed billing and cancellation terms and appropriate authorization.

Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of purchase. The 48-hour period begins at the purchase date and time shown on your receipt. Requests submitted after this period are not eligible under the Campus’s standard refund policy, except where a refund or longer request period is required by applicable law or binding payment-provider terms.

Submit a cancellation or refund request to campus@lofttn.com, identifying the course and purchase. Do not send full card numbers or security codes. We will provide the applicable request instructions and confirm whether the purchase qualifies.

Account suspension, withdrawal, inactivity, or failure to pass does not automatically forfeit a refund required by law or the applicable purchase terms. A material change to a paid offering will be addressed under the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

8. Campus Materials & Permitted Use

Campus-created materials, course content, assessments, designs, and marks belong to the Campus or the relevant rights holder. Third-party, licensed, and public-domain materials retain their respective status.

Subject to your authorized access and applicable purchase terms, you receive a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use course materials for your own learning and to keep copies where downloading or retention is permitted. Access does not transfer ownership of Campus intellectual property.

Except where permitted by law or written authorization, do not resell, redistribute, publicly repost, commercially teach from, or publish course materials, assessments, answer keys, or recordings. Do not remove ownership notices or use Campus marks to imply an endorsement or authority you have not received. This section does not prohibit lawful sharing of your genuine certificate or your own original work.

9. Your Work, Submissions & Privacy

You retain ownership of your original submissions, subject to the rights of others. Submit only material you have a right to use and avoid including unnecessary personal information about another person.

You grant the Campus a limited, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to receive, store, reproduce, display to appropriate course personnel or participants, and process submissions only as reasonably needed to deliver, assess, administer, and secure the service. Necessary service providers may process them for those purposes under applicable agreements. Display to other participants depends on the course activity, such as a disclosed discussion or group assignment.

This permission does not authorize use of your private assignments, name, image, or testimonial in public marketing without separate appropriate permission. Personal information, retention, verification, and privacy requests are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Acceptable Conduct & Security

Do not use Campus services, accounts, resources, or credentials to:

  • Threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, coerce, abuse, or unlawfully discriminate against another person.
  • Commit fraud, misuse identities, counterfeit credentials, or misrepresent Campus education.
  • Send spam, conduct phishing, distribute malware, gain unauthorized access, or bypass security controls.
  • Extract private information, infringe intellectual property, or disclose confidential information without authority.
  • Falsely represent the Campus or a partner organization.
  • Materially disrupt learning or facilitate unlawful activity.

The Campus may remove or restrict material that reasonably appears to violate these Terms, compromise privacy or security, or infringe another person’s rights. Requests to review an action may be submitted through the contact in Section 18.

11. Platforms & Third-Party Services

The Campus may use independent providers to deliver online learning, accounts, software, payment processing, research resources, or tools. Their applicable terms also govern your use of their services.

Third-party links or tools do not guarantee availability, accuracy, suitability, or an endorsement of every practice. AI output may contain errors and should be evaluated before use. You remain responsible for following course rules and using third-party services lawfully. Nothing here removes the Campus’s responsibility for its own services or legal obligations.

12. Partners & Educational Boundaries

An employer, housing program, healthcare organization, church, or other partner remains responsible for its own operations and applicable duties. Offering a Campus course or device at a location does not by itself make the Campus responsible for facility management, residency decisions, clinical treatment, medication practices, or residential supervision.

Courses and educational discussions provide general information. Participation alone does not establish a clinician-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, financial-adviser, or other licensed professional relationship. Actual services and applicable law determine any duties.

Campus communication tools are not an emergency-monitoring or crisis-response service. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.

13. Availability & Changes to Services

Maintenance, outages, provider changes, or circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect access. The Campus does not promise uninterrupted or error-free technology and may make reasonable corrections and updates.

If a material change affects an existing paid course, the Campus will communicate the change and address continuation, rescheduling, an alternative, or any refund required by the purchase terms or law. This section does not cancel obligations to deliver purchased services or provide an available remedy.

14. Restrictions, Suspension & Review

The Campus may restrict or suspend access for material policy violations, fraud, security compromise, credible safety concerns, nonpayment, or inactivity under disclosed access terms. Protective measures must be reasonably related to the identified issue.

Immediate temporary action may be taken when necessary to address an active risk. For other adverse actions, the Campus will ordinarily provide a general explanation and an opportunity to request review. Notice following immediate action will be provided as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to lawful restrictions.

Request review at campus@lofttn.com. The Campus will consider relevant information and communicate the outcome and any corrective steps. Ending account privileges does not automatically erase legitimate completion or remove applicable refund or privacy rights.

15. Outcomes & Limits of Liability

The Campus does not guarantee employment, admission, transfer credit, income, licensure, housing, or a particular personal, educational, or professional result. Apply course information within your qualifications and obtain individualized professional advice when needed.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Campus excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the services. This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections, applicable personal-injury rights, privacy rights, or the Campus’s own legal duties. Any limitation applies only to the extent it is lawful and enforceable.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

Tennessee law governs these Terms, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise. A dispute may be brought before a court with proper jurisdiction and venue. Nothing here requires waiver of an available small-claims remedy or prevents contacting an appropriate regulator or consumer-protection agency.

You may contact the Campus to seek a practical resolution. This contact process does not restrict a legal right to seek relief or change a mandatory filing deadline.

17. Updates & General Provisions

The Campus may update these Terms prospectively and will identify the revision and effective date. Material changes affecting existing enrollment or paid access will receive appropriate notice and any acceptance required by law. Updates do not retroactively invalidate earned completion or remove nonwaivable rights.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the extent permitted by law while the remaining provisions continue where legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive future enforcement. Applicable law controls any conflict with a mandatory legal requirement.
